Electronic Acupunctoscope - WQ-10C2 / WQ-10D1
The Multiple Electronic Acupunctoscope (MEA), Model WQ-10C2 is an instrument
used both as a detector of acupuncture points and as an electrical
stimulator for acupuncture therapy and anesthesia. The WQ-10D1 model is a
newly modified unit from the older WQ-10 series acupunctoscope, featuring a
CA (constant amplitude)-AM (amplitude modulation) selecting switch to allow
it to discharge six different combinations of wave patterns.

I. The
adjustment of the stimulating wave forms and frequencies. They are
controlled by following knobs and switch:
F1=fixed frequencies
F2=variable frequencies
K=multiplier
There are two positions on switch k, “x1” and “x0.1”. The frequency of
output impulse, F=Kfi, can be adjusted within two different ranges,
(0~100Hz and 0~10Hz). There are 3 different forms of combinations by
using f1 and f2:
1.When f2 is at 0, by adjusting f1, a continuous wave is obtained.
2. When f2 is at 0, by adjusting f2, an intermittent wave is obtained.
3. By adjusting f1 and f2, but keep f1<f2, a composite wave of
alternating frequencies f1 and f2 is obtained |

There are six different forms of combinations by using f1 and f2 CA-AM
1. When f2 is at 0, by adjusting f1, a continuous (CA) or rise-fall(AM)
wave is obtained.
2. When f1 is at 0, by adjusting f2, an intermittent (CA) or saw tooth
(AM) wave is obtained.
3. By adjusting f1 and f2, but keep f1<f2, a composite wave of
alternating frequencies f1 and f2 a dense – disperse (CA) or rise dense-
fall disperse (AM) wave is obtained. |
II. Acupuncture therapy and
anesthesia
1. Set “Intensity” knob to zero and “E-E or APD” switch to “1.2.3”, set
“Hi-Lo” switch to “Hi” or “Lo” position as required. Intensity of “Lo”
position is 1/3 of “Hi”.
2. Plug output leads into 1.2.3 sockets, then fasten their clips to the
handles of the needles.
3. Set the desirable waveforms and frequencies with knobs f1, f2 and K.
4. Turn “on” main switch
5. Adjust intensity to appropriate degree |

Therapy with Electric, Excitatory(E-E) and 'skin sure' face acupuncture
point stimulation:
1. Use output leads with banana plugs. Connect the bananas plugs with
probes provided with cup shaped electrodes at terminal ends. Fill the
cup with absorbent cotton soaked with salt solution. Fix the cup
electrode onto the acupuncture points or the other selected parts of the
skin. Set “Hi-Lo” switch to “Hi” position.
2. In case of weak stimulation follow the same steps described in II.
Plug output leads into 1.2.3 sockets.
3. For strong stimulation, the output will be taken from the “E-E or APD”
socket, which is specially designed for this purpose. Set”E-E or APD”
switch to “E-E1+2+3” position and intensity is regulated by 1.2.3
channels together.
IV. Detection of “Meridian Sensitivity”
Subjects are found to be more sensitive to acupuncture. A particular
sensation traveling along the pathways of meridians is demonstrated when
the “Ching-Hsueh” (at the terminal parts of four limbs) is stimulated
with electric impulse of appropriate intensity. This sensation is termed
the meridian sensation. In most sensitive subjects the meridian
sensation can travel along the pathway of the meridian and sometimes
even extends to the neighboring meridian . The meridian sensitivity
varies with different subjects, while the intensity of the electric
excitation required to produce this particular sensation varies from
person to person. Subjects who show more “meridian sensitivity” always
react to acupuncture therapy and anesthesia with better results than
those who are insensitive to it. |

MULTIPLE USAGES:
A. The section used for acupuncture point detection can also be used for
locating the auriculo-acupuncture points, meridian points, and band of (?)
zone of acupuncture points.
B. The section used for stimulation can also be used for acupuncture
therapy, skin surface acupuncture point stimulation, electrical Ti-Needle,
acupuncture anesthesia, therapy by electric excitation, and measuring the
sensitivity of meridian.
Both A and B sections maybe used at the same time.
MULTIPLE TRANSMIT MESSAGES:
The instrument can transmit three waveforms of impulse series. Their
frequency varies from 0-100 C/S, with several adjustment combinations. By
varying the combinations of these differing massage types, a large number of
stimulating conditions may be derived in order to prevent repetitious
overuse, enhancing therapeutical efficiency.
HIGH INTENSITY OF OUTPUT:
Divided into "High" and "Low" two ranges, smooth adjustment, high stability
and low power consumption.
Detecting acupuncture points:
Highly accurace without producing pain sensation. After the location of
point, stimulating pulses can also provide therapy from the detecting probe.
ACCESSORIES:
- Output leads with clips (3 sets)
- Output leads with banana plugs (1 set)
- Ground pole (1 piece)
- Cup-shaped electrode for electric excitation (1 piece)
- Probe attachment with a cylindrical electrode for detection of "meridian
sensitivity" at one end and a conical head for acupuncture points detection
